About the piece
Two unequal bodies meet acrobatically. They are 42cm apart in height and 42kg in weight. A difference that connects and creates possibilities rather than being an obstacle. Extraordinary acrobatics amaze the audience, subtle humor makes them smile. The artists show in a likeable and inspiring way how relationships shift and how they meet on equal terms. Philosophical questions are raised, absurd moments arise and a touch of magic surprises. Three wooden boxes compensate for the difference in size and become playing partners. Contemporary circus combined with physical theater, dance and puppetry. Acrobatics with precision and lightness: touching, poetic and original. The duo
Iris Pelz and Christopher Schlunk met at the Academy for Circus and Performance Art in Tilburg (Netherlands), where they graduated in 2011. They perform with well-known companies around the world: Cirque Éloize (Canada) | Cirkus Monti (Switzerland) | Cirkus Cirkör (Sweden) | La Soirée (Australia) | Palazzo (Germany).
